Hi,
I have simplify3d for about 4 years, but I recently installed windows 10 and I can't open the software on the same machine. I got some error about reaching the licenses limit.
I only have one installation in the intalled programs list.
And I don't want to uninstall it because I don't want to lose all my printer and material configurations.
How can I resolve this issue?

Thanks!

You probably did not deactivate the S3D installation before installing Win10? :D

Maybe this will help, from the faq:
In extreme circumstances such as a hardware failure, re-imaged operating system, or a crashed hard drive, it may be impossible to uninstall the software from its previous location. In this case, you can remotely remove the installation by logging in to your Simplify3D account on our website and then choosing the “Software Installations” menu option. Follow the instructions on that screen to remotely deactivate your license.

I don't want to lose all my printer and material configurations.
Well don't shout at anyone if you do lose your profiles if the only place you have them is in the dropdown list. All your eggs are in a single basket supported by a piece of frayed thread!

I create a Factory file for EVERY part I print...and all factory files are auto-archived onto a network drive on a regular basis. I never have....and never will...worry about losing a printer or material setting.

And why would I shout at anyone here, when they are trying to help me...?
Are you serious?
Thanks for the tip about remote deactivation!
