PLA deformed part on glass bed

Hi,

I am printing PLA on glass bed and one edge of the part has got deformed and started to raise from the glass table.
Any idea what setting is wrong?

Are there any recommended profiles for PLA/ABS for Wanhao Duplicator i3 plus?

It's warping as the plastic cools & shrinks. You either need to back off on the cooling, use a heated bed, or you may need some sort of adhesion booster. There are lots of options. I like hairspray & glue stick. Also, any time you have printing problems, start here:

I am having this issue as well.

Printing with verbatim black pla. 1.75

I actually have pretty good bed adhesion, I do get some small corners lifting.. my main concern is that the part still warps badly above the first layer!

This is super annoying and has destroyed some large prints.

Heated bed is at 60
Cooling fan layer 1 at 0%
Layer 2 100%

This shrunk like hell so I tried applying more gradual cooling,

Layer 1 0%
3: 20%
5: 40%
7: 60%
9: 80%
11: 100%

Extruder 210* first layer
200* after that..

Any ideas?

I've had some filament that just wants to shrink too much. You may have found another one...

The general theory is to try to minimize the temperature differences in the print as much as possible until it's all done. Things that make life better are:

1) Cooler extrusion temperature. 200 appears to be the Verbatim recommended minimum, but sometimes going lower than "spec" can help.

2) Hotter bed temperature. I typically run at 65C

3) As little cooling as you can get away with. This tends to be highly geometry dependent. The bigger the print with fewer small features, the easier it is to cut back on cooling.

4) An enclosure. Any sort of box to keep drafts away and keep the heat from escaping can help.

You can try pushing your print settings in these directions until something more annoying than the warping occurs. With luck, you find a set of parameters that will give you an acceptable print.
