Support & first layer direction the same

Need help with a configuration issue. I am printing an item upside down to minimise long support material. Most of the support starts at the bed with a small amount of the finish item shape beginning there also. The support is rectilinear and is in a is aligned in the X direction.

My trouble is that the first layer of the main item shape is also laid down in the X direction so the finished item always has a messy layer printed on top of the support. Is there controls to have the first layer rotated say 90 degrees to the support?

I've attached a pic of the problem. Apologies for the poor quailty.

Re: Support & first layer direction the same

On the Support tab of the profile setting window, at the bottom RHS there is a control called Support Infill Angles which allows a support direction configuration to be specified.

This will by default have a single Zero in the table....which will indicates all layers in the X axis. Changing this to 90 will give all support layers in th Y direction. Adding entries will create a sequence of directions....so 0,90 will give support in alternate X, Y, X..etc by layer.
