so i did some test prints of a simple box that i scaled to be 2mm x 2mm x 25.4mm. at 50mms print speed, mangled mess, twisted, distorted. so then i slowed to 30mms and now it started to look good.
next, i set my extrusion width to be .4mm which is my nozzle size, i experimented with "auto" but the manual setting of .4mm worked better.

my question is regarding a setting for the printer to slow down when it prints the columns vs the rest of the building. the speed by layer time doesn't really apply, because the layer of the column is still part of the layer for the rest of the building. if not, then i am going to attempt to print the model again but at the 30mms layer time, given my test it should turn out well - just take a lot longer
thanks
