Missing tools

I was doing some modifications to some items I was going to print from the setup screen a few weeks ago, but today I cannot seem to locate them, or to locate where there are some options to turn off or on,
For example, using the "translate model" option I used to be able to move the item by putting the mouse on one of the three axis and simply drag or push the item along that axis. Another is that I no longer can see the 3 axis when I choose the Rotate Models, I only get one axis to rotate.

Is there some setting that I may have altered without knowing?

Re: Missing tools

Tools dropdown menu ==> Options ==> Preferences tab......Ensure you have "Always show full 3D transform gizmo" ticked.

Re: Missing tools

Thank you very much. I have no idea how that got disabled, unless it is the default on a new install. I recently installed a SSHD and then did a clean install to get rid of the Windows install that was installed 10-15 years ago. It wasn't until I installed Simplify3d that I noticed all my Process Settings were gone. Simplify3d really should simplify how it currently stores the Process Settings. There isn't anything in there that requires security, so why not just drop a text file into the application's folder system so the user can simply access it to get new install back to where it was working already? I would suggest it as a new feature for v5 but I don't want to be the one that holds it up even longer.

Re: Missing tools

If you've saved your print jobs as factory files....or still have the gcode files, then they both contain all the profile data within them.

I've always utilised factory files.....and have never ever lost a profile in seven years. And saving as factory files makes it super easy to reprint anything. Just ;oad the factory file....and slice!
