understanding 'deprime'

I am getting some great prints from S3D and with the help of this community its just getting better!

I am wanting to try and learn how to adjust and control my prints some more - what I am having trouble with on a couple prints is that spider web looking PLA stringing from part to part or stand off to stand off.

First is the 'deprime' the thing that controls this? or is there a different area I should start to adjust to control this?

Thanks for all the help.

On the extruder tab, there is a section called ooze control. YOu want to enable retraction and then adjust the amount of filament and the speed at which it will be retracted at.
