I've come across a strange issue where specifying the prime pillar extruder as Right Extruder only causes the pillar to be printed once per feature instead of once per line.

As can be seen in the attached test case during the Left Extruder potion the pillar is printed correctly, but once it reaches the Right Extruder potion the pillar is overprinted 3 times per layer.

In general, the prime pillar should be set to "All Extruders", and the software will choose when to prime the extruders.
