Simplify3D User Forum

Okay so I haven't had a right nozzle for a while. Various reasons, none relevant to this problem.
And haven't been having any communication issues printing with the left head.

I've now fitted a 0.5mm head to righty and cannot print from it with simplify 3d.

If I load the right head profile. It goes through the motions. The head heats up the machine makes the deedly deedly dee noise and then absolutely bugger all happens. It just sits there maintaining heat and nothing else.

The right head stays heated, but nothing prints.
This is over usb and sdcard

I can still print no problem with s3d and lefty and can print without issue from makerware with both heads. So it's not the machine that's at fault.

I have tried dual extrusion - as it loads a different profile. And while that starts printing - it stops heating the extruder heads - both of them. As soon as it starts to print.
Tried both from usb and sd card.

I've even tried using the right head from the left head profile. Doesn't work either.

Like i said I can load the left head profile and print happily via sd and usb with that. But nothing doing with the right head.

I presume there's some error or other in the gcode right head profie, which I have bugger all experience with.
Like I said both heads - singly and together - work perfectly with makerware. So it's definitely not me

If you can get the right hot end to reach temp, try using either the LCD panel or MCP to get the hot end and bed to correct temp. Load the right extruder profile, and under the temperature tab try unchecking the option to wait for temperature to stabilize in both the extruders and the bed. Then slice the model. When the printer reaches desired temperature, try printing over USB and see if it will print.

Okay - but the deedly deedly dee noise indicates that the temperature is reached and stabilised and it's ready to print.
It makes the noise.

But I'll try unticking the temp stabiliser tab - cheers
