Raft not placed under all of the model

Hi

The model needs rafts to print, but im seeing some strange issues with the rafts.
Can any point my to solution?

Currently my best solution is lift the model 1mm and then add support from build plate, but that also causes som issues

Any help on this much appreciated.

best
Jens

Re: Raft not placed under all of the model

You're on the right lines for getting your print sorted. But you need to move the model down a tiny bit...rather than up!

The problem is that the bottom of the model is not flat...and the slicer only sees the model touching the build plate at the low spots. Moving the model down will put the low spots below the zero axis....and they will be ignored.

Of course, the proper solution would be to go back to the CAD package and flatten the bottom surface out there.....but who wants to do things the right way??

Re: Raft not placed under all of the model

Thanks Doug!
It is not my design, thus I dont have access to the CAD elements. How it is not a straight x-plane in the bottom is really not clear to me, from the CAD work that i have done.

Again, thanks for the input.
