Simplify3D User Forum

Hi,
I have 2 questions.

1. If I select Generate automatic supports. How come that when I do a Prepare to print, it overwrites it with the standard Support.
If I disable it, then it won't create anything, and if I say Yes, then it overwrites my Auto supports.

2. When I print something, it seems to be always creating a first layer, that is very ugly, then it will print my object.
once I remove that 1 layer, the next layer is really ugly and bad looking.. I cannot seem to get around that.

Any help is appriciated.

In answer to question 2.
Look at the layer tab and "first layer width" setting.
If it is greater than 100% it seems to space the paths out. Set to 100% and it will be the same as the other layers.
I'm new to S3D so there might be other causes but this worked for me.
