Windows 11, ARM and security question

Hi Simplify 3D.

Firstly I would like to commend your software as it has withstood a test of time and continues to function despite everything MS tries to do to undermined development on it's platform.

However...

The wheels of change continue to grind, Windows now has a genuine Linus subsystem, and now we have Microsoft's imitation of Apple's desktop declaring (in true Apple style) that all our equipment is too old and we need shiny new computers. There are also ARM processors, quite capable of slicing and rendering.

Given the changing face of personal computing, I think it might be helpful give customers a clearer picture of the products requirements both now and going forward. Whilst it would be convenenient, for us to just keep the same old machine running just Simplify3D, that is generally not the way it works out for most personal computing users. Even businesse are bowing to relenetless change these days.
There was a time when asking for a software upgrade was like Oliver asking for 'more porridge'. Now it will happen in the middle of a presentation.

And then there is the 'security' chesnut. Tell us, has the Simplify3D software been evaluated for security vulnerabilities? Whilst I have no reason to suspect S3D coding, it is using a 3rd party kit for the UI. There have been numerous security vulnerabilies discovered in the QT kit since 5.6 (2017)? Should we care?

Given the infrequecy of updates, as a customer I don't feel it is unreasonable to expect - at the very least - some reassurance that any concerns are unfounded. I don't feel it is the customers job to sort through CV lists and make these sort of evaluations. That is what we pay professional developers for.

To try and end on the positive note I started with. I haven't come across any obvious need for a new version of Simplify3D. If anything I would be more interested in a new product that provided a system for Resin printing. That is a completely different piece of software, I know, but it would be nice to have it sort of integrated into the existing UI. A one-stop-shop, if you like.

Its been a strange couple of years and I hope Simplify3D have weathered it okay. Good luck!
