Astroprint and Simplify3d

I have an Astroprint touch I built, but the cloud software and raspberry pi software are just annoying, very similar, but very different and they never seem to work together smoothly from the start. Is it possible to set Simplify3d up to send the sliced gcode to Astroprint, and make Astroprint start automatically when it does?

Also, using Creality 3 pro, is gcode the best choice? it's the only one I've ever used but there's another 1 or 2 formats, isn't there?

I'd really like to switch back to Simplify3d, it's so much better (but it didn't work with my last printer... and this one isn't wifi nor is it connected directly to my computer)
