Activation issue

I've used this software for years and have had no problem moving the licenses between computers. I recently removed a license from my older mac and tried to activate it on a newer one. When I login to activate the license this is the message I receive:

Unable to connect to the activation server. Please ensure that you have an active internet connection prior to activating.

I know that I have a network connection and the firewall is off. Anyone know what to do? I sent a message to support but they are slow getting back to me.
