DEF Fluid Resistant

Which filament is best to use that is resistant to DEF Fluid?

Sounds like you are planning on making a filler funnel for your truck.

Nothing is resistant to DEF. They all crystalize on whatever they come into contact with.

Probably the most effective thing would be to 3d print your filler funnel. Sand it, filler prime it, sand it, filler prime it etc...

Then make a silicone mold of the part, after your mold is done, then cast it in resin.

Alternatively, you could design your filler as a negative, print a mold, and cast a silicone filler.

DEF will always be a mess, I only use Peak Blue DEF Platinum. it is alot more expensive, but it crystalizes the least of anything i can find. And I hate DEF crysalization, especially when you are putting in a $70k truck and crap makes a mess.

Obligatory *I'm not a chemist but*

DEF is just water and urea. If you are worried about it degrading a printed part, I would think that most any common materials would be fine for short term DEF exposure. If you are worried about it crystalizing on your part, then like flyingdutch said- you're out of luck. As soon as the water evaporates, the urea crystalizes on whatever surface it happens to be in contact with. I suspect that the layer lines in an FFF printed part would make this worse by holding DEF that is hard to clean off and would crystalize later, when used in something like a funnel.

Also worth mentioning that DEF will expand when freezing, so if this is a long term outside storage solution the parts will need to withstand this.
