Printrbot Simple Metal no longer preheats

I'm having a curious problem. I've had my Printrbot Simple Metal for a few months now and have been very pleased with the combination of the PSM and Simplify3D.

Recently, however, when I press the Print over USB (the only way I've ever printed) the printer does not preheat, and attempts to print anyway. It goes through the leveling process and starts to "print". The log says "cold extrusion prevented".

If I manually preheat, the prints come out fine.

Previously, there would be a status message in S3D that said "preheating extruder", and it would preheat.

I haven't made any changes to anything. What would cause the printer to decide not to preheat automatically?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Look at a gcode file you printed before and compare it to what you are creating now. That should make it really easy to find the differences. You probably just need to look at the starting script section

Do you have the wait for temp to stabilize box checked in your temp process?

Thanks, JoeJ, I will review the gCode. I didn't know you could see gCode in Simmplify3D, but I'll figure that out.

jimc, yes, that box is checked.

Thanks..
