I would like to see the Dev team step up and let us know how they stand behind the new version.
The silence between 4-5 was brutal. And if they are going to remain silent, I really don't think I'm upgrading, as much as I like s3d.

I would like to see a Vlog with them, talking about the new version, features and future plans and to reassure us that they are not going to go into hiding again for what? 5 more years?

Guys, think you could do that for us?

We have plans to publish quite a bit more information after the launch of V5 describing the new features in more detail. I know the team is also excited to get back to faster releases now that V5 is finally completed.

What specific features did you want the team to talk about? I can be sure to pass along the feedback.

I think one topic I'd like to see some real indepth info one is supports and new features and how to implement them.

I'd like to see support gap in .5 layer increments. If I am using .32 layers or higher, I'd like to still be able to keep the support interface at .16.

I agree on this one and was surprised to find that it is still like the old versions. You can only set the gap as 1 layer, 2 layers etc.
Anything over a 0.2mm layer height and a 1-layer gap for the top of supports is too much and leave a messy underside on the print.
This really needs to be set using a defined measurement.

Been a long time since one of my posts actually got posted, that's a good start.

- First and foremost, explain how you plan on reestablishing and gaining your userbase back after so rudely leaving us in the dark for so long.

- I don't want published documents/statements. I want the entire team behind a video discussing the software development, what did you do for the last couple yrs to get here, and to where you are going.

- Explain what your immediate plans are as bugs/glitches are found and how your going to deal with them.

- It was claimed back in the day that 4.x would continue to be supported (within reason) How about a couple bugfix patches?

- Explain what your 1, 2 and 5 year time lime looks like

- a lot of people are pissed about the single seat on v5. I don't think added the second seat back is much of an issue and would help restore a little more faith in your current user base.

- You guys gotta understand that there is only one way to make this work. Impress your userbase, not piss them off. Your track record has been sub par. Time to step up.

- I would offer the purchasers from the last 2/3 years the free upgrade. Yes, seriously. Ultimately because of being ghosted so so long.

You made good software guys. I really do love it. I still use it as my go to slicer. But I will not upgrade unless you can without a doubt convince me your actually going to stand behind your software this time and not jump off the cliff again.

I'm in agreement with Mogal. I have been a long time user of S3D and I was just planning to start learning prusaslicer these holidays because I thought S3D was abandonware.

Then boom out of nowhere, version 5. Caught me totally by surprise. Naturally I bought it right away.

And immediately, the very first thing I go to use it for, and it doesn't work properly. I can't resize my build volume. Change the parameters, just doesn't work, nothing happens.

Then I find out it has only one seat on the license, not two.

What are you guys at S3D doing, seriously? I'm probably going to go for the refund in a few days if I don't see some kind of response. This is the only slicer you have to pay decent money for, and it has already let me down. It has long been surpassed by the free ones, the only reason I wanted to stick with S3D is familiarity and not having to learn a new slicer from scratch. But this new one has already changed a few fundamental things that now make it more annoying to use.

How about this... when you go to slice G-code with a process selected, the next window that pops up has every process highlighted by default, forcing you to unselect all of them and reselect just the one process you want to use, before you can proceed. Stupid!! The old one would just slice the process you selected. Two mouse clicks and you have g-code. Now you have to muck around unselecting, multiple mouse clicks more, scrolling etc. It's just a straight up illogical nuisance! Why would I want to slice my model using EVERY process? Why are they all highlighted by default?

Thing like this are aggravating, and yes, make me lose faith in the software.
