Simplify3D Crashes when ran outside the Applications folder (macOS)

S3D v5

Whenever I doubleclick an STL/OBJ/.factory/.gcode (currently associated to S3D), S3D opens....but crashes with a Segmentation Fault 11.

If I open manually S3D then File->Open the files, it works fine.

I store Simplify3D folder INSIDE a folder which is INSIDE the Applications folder, if that helps troubleshooting.

If you install the software in the default location (/Applications/Simplify3D-5.0.0), does the crash stop happening?

Why don't you as S3D try to install the app on a folder and let me know if it works? In the end you don't force the installation in a specific folder right?

Looks like an un handled permission:

Further on this, on a Mac M1 with Ventura, when I doubleclick an STL, S3D opens and (finally!) stays open, but the STL is NOT loaded.
