Hey I just upgrade to V5 because my Voron 2.4 is supported, But I cannot find and profile for my printer . I am Looking For PLA, ABS & PETG. Also can I import Profile from PRUSA Slicer.
There are a lot of different configurations for the Voron. Different extruders, hotends, build volume, etc. Hard to have just a single configuration in the software. Send an email to our support team giving them your machine specs and they should be able to give you the appropriate profile: https://www.simplify3d.com/contact-us/
I think suggesting that because there is a lot of variation you should therefore sit on your our hand and not make effort to include Voron profiles is just utter rubbish. No wonder you have such a poor reputation within the community. Pull your finger out and make your product worthwhile and relevant to all folks! If Super Slicer can provide a basic start Voron profile, I just cannot see anything stopping you? There is a lot of Creality product variation but you seem to include all of those? . Most Voron users have a keen idea of how a lot of stuff works. Providing some basics like speed & acceleration controls that are specific to your slicer would help users immensely and may help towards a come back, no one in there right mind in going to invest\subscribe from new with your current rep and responses like this really do not help!
I have just upgraded my license because however much it beggars belief S3D is still my to go to slicer and initially was excited by this announcement. I am only just getting into V5 but my instincts suggest that this upgrade is probably more spin than substance. I generally like most comments I have seen online I am pretty underwhelmed so far.
You have a great chance to redeem your reputation in the community, for all our ongoing needs, please do not blow it by just fudging things!
We already have several Voron profiles. Just email our team and they can get you the right one.
It's hard to put directly into the software because there are so many variations. There might be 20 options to pick from, which is a little overwhelming. I could certainly ask the team about putting the most common configuration into the software so that there is at least 1 you can use as a starting point, but for now I believe there were trying to help customers via email to make sure they got the right settings.
