Approximate time until V 5.01 Bugfixes....

hmmm, last time around it was about a year from V3 to V4, then it took a week to get the V4.01 to fix all the bugs in V4.00, then a month to get V4.10 to fix the crippling bugs introduced in v4.01.....

Hmmm, so since it took them nearly 7 years to go from V4 to V5, it follows we should get our bugfix version 5.01 around August, 2024......

Do the math. Jus Sayin.

Seriously tho, I bought this new version 12 minutes after getting the announcement email, and I am severely dissapointed in it. Only a couple actual upgraded features, and half of them are bugged/unuseable. A LOT of features that other slicers have did not even bother to get into this V5. (Ironing, for example) WIFI to compatible printers was touted as being new feature, but does not actually work. I imported my V4 settings into V5, and you would expect that without further tweaking should get at least the same level as V4 quality, but alas, my prints are WORSE, with a shit-ton of outside banding and look like crap now. (I use this in a business, so I went back to V4 for now)

I'll wait for 5.01 and see if it fixes the issues, but if it does not, then I'll be asking for a refund for a failed product and just stick with my V4.12.....

I know the 5.0.1 update is already being worked on. Hopeful the team will have it ready in the next few weeks.

That being said, if you do encounter issues using V5, please be sure to provide more information so our team can investigate. For example, I know we have already performed thousands of prints using V4 and V5, and we usually saw significantly improved print quality from the new version. If you are seeing worse quality, perhaps you could submit a bug report including the files from V4 and V5 with more detail about the issue.
