Is it just me or...this update brings absolutely nothing of what we all was requesting?

you are right man, there is nothing what has been requested. After years of waiting for the value of my money, I just got to the point I have to pay for this upgraded nonsense. I will never do the mistake again, I will not upgrade anything
just like said by someone wise: "we have your money, thanks"

I can't tell - it loads for 3 seconds, then crashes without any error message. 5.0 still loads.

It has a very minor version change, so it is clear that it is just a hot-fix (e.g. bug fixing update). Not sure why you expect it to have any features updates.
