Command Line 3D Printing

Hello!

I'm looking for a way to utilize command line to send models from Autodesk Meshmixer straight to simplify 3D. Meshmixer has a tool that should work, but I'm not exactly sure how to set it up. Can anyone here advise me?

What operating system are you using? It looks like you just need to define the complete filepath to your Simplify3D installation.

Awesome! I'm running Windows 11 Pro and the latest version of Simplify 3D v 5.0.1

Can you give me example of how the fields should be populated?

For the "Printer software name" field use either "Simplify3D" or "Simplify3D.exe" (not sure which)
For the "Printer software path" use "C:\Program Files\Simplify3D-5.0.1\Simplify3D.exe"

Yea it's not working. It's able to launch simplify 3D but then the software says successfully imported factory file with 0 models. So it's not bringing the model in for some reason. Any ideas? Maybe there's something with the command line field?

Re: Command Line 3D Printing

Update on this. It works with Cura. So it's an issue specific to Simplify3D. Would be cool to have this feature maybe in the future.
