5.0.1 Force quits on open

Can't use the pdate on MAc the latest version 5.0.1 tries to open but doesn't respond and have to force quit. I did use it for a few days but then it stopped working.
Can you confirm which version of Mac OS you are using? Any chance you recently upgraded your OS to a new major version?
We have seen users in the past where an OS upgrade caused some modified file permissions and they had to update a file before the software would open. Could be something similar here.
