I have started to use V5.0, and it seems that the variable extrusion width is not working, even though I have the min set to 50% and max at 200%. I have attached a screenshot showing large gaps between walls and the line width apparently the same, and also the factory file.

I think you need at least 2 outline perimeters before you will see single extrusions. If you only have 1 then it just traces the outline on the outside and inside and then it's done. Once you have 2 it knows it needs to try to put single extrusions in those small gaps too.

I think you are right...and I think it is a limitation in the program. Prusa is able to do it right. It can vary the extrusion width of the outer perimeters so it doesn't even need to fill in any gaps.
