Strange Zigzag in inner perimeter

Hi everyone!

I have a strange zigzag-pattern in the front-area of the 3dbenchy which slows down my print massively.

I have only 2 outline-perimeters but S3d sometimes makes a 3rd perimeter which gets this zigzag-line. Other slicers don't make this zigzag.

in the uploaded factory-file you just have to import the 3dbenchy.

how can I remove this zigzag-lines?

changing the outline-perimeter-amount doesn't eliminate the zigzags.

thank you and kind regards!

When the part has very shallow angles, you might see extra solid fill being added to increase the strength. You could try adding an extra perimeter since that usually accomplishes the same thing, and might stop some of the solid fill from being added.

thanks, but I already wrote, that changing the perimeter-amount, (f.e. adding some perimeters) doesn't have an effect. S3D always add this zigzag-perimeters.

You could try decreasing the number of bottom solid layers. That way it knows you are okay with less solid material on shallow surfaces. Making that change with the factory file that you provided helped quite a bit.

aaah, thanks! decreasing the bottom layers to "2" eliminates the zigzag in this case but not in general.

Is there no setting to prevent zigzags in general? printings gets faster when the slicer makes two parallel lines instead of this zigzags.

kind regards!
