Simplify3D User Forum

Hello

When I open simplify 3D and I want to push the "edit process button" the program frezzes, every time. I am running windows 64 bit.

Has anybody got the same problem and maby an solution for it

I have the same problem, after update ;(

I think I knew how to solve the problem. I think the problem is within Windows registry. I would imagine it is some leftovers from a previous installed Version of simplify3D.



I don't know if works for everyone but it works for me

Before I installed the new version, I uninstall the old one I'm going to the
start button->Control panel->uninstall programs.
From there I found the program and removed it, wait until the program is installed exit and then close.

Go to start type regedit, and the search area. When registry editor opens Press CTRL+F and type simplify3D type delete all strings regarding this search. Press F3 to find next string.

They will be one or two strings you can't delete, just continue without deleting them.

When you're done install the new version in This case 2.2 one important things while you install the program, please remember to select your printer, it seems like another bug will not allow you to do this later on.
Hopefully now I will not crash when you press “edit process”


Please let me know if you have a problem with this guide.

PS I'm not an expert in windows but for me this works and Of course if you do this, it is on your own risk.

I believe if you just go to Help > Reset All Settings, it will do the same thing with much less work

What happens with all material profiles when hitting "reset all settings" ?

In my case it didn't work, although it had the easy option.
It was two client computer, so I had to do something to get it to work again.
The fantastic Support Team from simplify3d suggested to try CCleaner or other software, if "Reset All Settings" didn't work, and i will try that next time.
