Replicator 2 plus Heatbed

Hardware:

Replicator 2 with ver. 7.5 firmware
Bottleworks Heated platform

Software
S3D ver. 2.2.0

My problem:
How do I get the heatbed to work with S3D ?

Heatbed works ok when I start preheat from the Replicator
I have added a "Heatbed" under the Temperature Tab (T0)

It sounds like you did things correctly in the Temperature tab, however one thing that's really important to change as well is to go to Tools-->Firmware Configuration and then select Replicator 2 with HBP

After adding a temperature controller for the heated bed, try going to Tools > Firmware Configuration.

Then in the X3G tab, instead of Replicator 2, try the config for Replicator 2 with HBP

Thanks to both of you. That did the trick..........but there is an issue I think !!!

When I start printing, the heatbed and Tool start to heat up as they should. Printer wait to heatbed has reach temperature and then wait for printertool to reach temperature. But of some reason the power to the heatbed is cut of, and the temperature is decreasing.

Is there something else that I have to check ?

Thanks in advance

I had a similar issue (I think this fixed it) In Sailfish (on the rep2) under general settings there an override gcode temp setting. I believe it should be off for use gcode temps from SD card.

I seem to have the same problem but I am using the OEM stockfirmware in the REP2. The bed preheats and gets to setpoint. Then the extruder preheats. Then the bed heater just seems to stay off. I read the comment about the default Sailfish setting but how do I access it ?

I also use the stock Rep2 firmware. Sailfish looks a bit complicated for me. I don't know, maybe there is a setup for Rep2 in Sailfish, have not checked !!

To start the heatbed again, after the extruder has reach temperature, I have done this:

Open FFF settings, select Temperature

Select "Heated Build Platform" Set temperature for layer 1 some 10-15 deg. C more than you want when printing and check the "Wait for temperature..........." box
Set temperature for layer 2 to the temp that you want when printing.

So the Rep2 starts to heat up the bed to 50 deg. C. When the temp. is reached, it starts to heat up the extruder and at the same time cut off the bed.
The bed temp. start to decrease slowly.
When the Rep2 starts to print layer 2 it turns on the bed again and also keep the power on to the extruder :-)
Notice that the bed is not shut down when the printing is finished.
