Creality K1 WiFi

Has anyone who owns a Creality K1 been able to connect S3D via WiFi? I am running v5.1.1 - I see a message within the console output that it requires java to run, but I'm not sure that's the issue, as that would be so it could render html, which we're not looking to do to be able to connect. I've made several WiFi connections since the 5.1.0 inclusion of API, but the K1 doesn't even require that, so I figured it would work. Plus there's no login required.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks so much!

Can you copy and paste the output that you see in the new device connection wizard when you try to connect to it? What port are you using for the connection?

Yes. I was thinking of doing that originally as I worked in technical support and QA for years, but sometimes there’s a simple solution. I’ll get that for you shortly. Thanks

Re: Creality K1 WiFi

I used the default Port 80 because after scanning my network, I could see that's what it was using.

Here's the output from the Connection Wizard:

Re: Creality K1 WiFi

Actually I figured it out!

So, for all who want to use Simplify with their Creality K1 just be sure to use Network Connection and choose Manual. Type in your K1's IP address and choose Manual for the Port Number and use 4408 and you should be good to go!

The only thing is that Simplify doesn't have a profile for the Creality K1, so you'll have to just create a basic profile. Hopefully the K1 along with some of the Hyper and Fast Fluid filaments etc are with it.

Any hope on getting the K1 added @S3D-Jason?

Re: Creality K1 WiFi

Awesome! Glad you were able to get the WiFi working.

I believe our team is already working on a profile for the K1, so you could contact them directly if you are interested in using that profile before the official release.

Re: Creality K1 WiFi

I followed up with the contact-us link you provided above requesting the profile in its early state, as you suggested. Happy to help test and provide feedback if desired. Thank you.

@S3D-Jason - Haven't heard anything. Wondering if you could help on the profile. Happy to test and provide feedback as I do for many other 3D companies. Thanks in advance!

Re: Creality K1 WiFi

I'll ping the team about it. I know they're actively tuning the K1 profile right now, so they may be hoping to get it a bit more perfected before sharing ;)
