Can't Send to Da Vinci 1.0

Hi. I am new to 3d printing, the Da Vinci, and Simplify3D. But I have 30 years programming and s/w testing experience.
I have the newest v2.2 of Simplify3D.
If I attempt to send a new print job to the Da Vinci 1.0 when the printer LCD is not at the home page Simplify3D fails to send the job. Even resending it after going to the home page will fail. I have to completely exit Simplify3D to get it to correctly send. There are times when I have to cycle power on the printer.
Not a major issue but one that needs to be investigated.
Thanks
Steven

The da Vinci machines are pretty finicky, I believe this is due to their firmware though. Turning them on-off seems to be a common occurrence for most users.

I am getting exactly the same problem with mine.
I purchased S3D 2 weeks ago and everything was fine.
Then, I started getting some uploading problems.
When I open the Machine Control Panel, I noticed the following message:
WARNING: Firmware unresponsive. Attempting to force continue...
The machine reboots itself during the upload and nothing happens.
The problem is getting worse and I am now struggling to print.
I am running 1.1.J as recommended and I use the Mac version.
I also tried running the Windows version via Parallel Desktop/Windows 7 and I am getting the same problem.
I also moved the USB connection from the Hub and it is directly connected to the computer.
The problem is still the same.
I tried changing the communication speed, no change.
Any idea welcome
