Currently, if you want to select a few lines and copy them to the clipboard it's near impossible because it auto scrolls to the bottom as soon as it gets a new message. It also means you can't just scroll back to see what happened. It's an easy fix, just add a pause button next to "send" or for an advanced fix, change the behaviour so it only autoscrolls if it is already at the bottom (This means as soon as you scroll up it continues to append, but doesn't drag the new line back into view. Simply by scrolling to the end you re-enable auto scroll).
There is a "Verbose" checkbox, but this doesn't solve the problem, it does improve it though. Its location near the port and baud rate also suggests it does something more than just filter what goes to the Communication window, but that could just be a UX design issue.
For bonus points, it would be nice if the send textbox had a default action of pressing "Send" when you hit return.
I discovered all this because I had to run pid tuning.
