Simplify3D User Forum

I am getting a strange issue when I import an STL: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:607200/#files

When I preview this prior to printing its missing a chunk out of the "5" print area.

However when I import into Makerware and preview it, the print preview looks just fine. Obviously I rather use Simplify but what am I missing here for this to do that?

Just a typical problem with an .stl file :p

You can easily fix it on Netfab... ( https://netfabb.azurewebsites.net/ ) Just in case you don't know about it...

the model is bad. i opened it up in netfabb and it detected errors.

Looks like flipped normals. A run through cloud.netfabb.com will fix it right up. (Thingiverse should run everything through netfabb on upload IMHO).
