Heated bed not heating

I own a Prusa i3.

When I press the 'Start Print' button, the software starts "Heating the extruder". When it ends heating the extruder the print starts right away. The heated bed never heats.
I get the same result no matter I select the PLA or ABS profile.

I cannot figure out how/where can I set the config parameters to enable bed heating.
I have two temperature profiles(which were already created), T0 for the extruder and T1 for the heated bed. Do these profiles need to be set anywhere in the configuration tabs ?

BTW, I do not find the 'temperature' tab to be very intuitve. :-(

Luis.

Make sure the temperature controller for the heated bed says it's a heated bed:

If it says that, post up a gcode file you generate someone can look through the beginning and let you know if the proper commands are there

Yes,the temperature profile says 'heated bed'.
On the Gcode stream there is no heating bed commands.

Just post a factory file. I am sure it will be very easy to see what is wrong using that.

You should look at the starting gcode. If there isn't a command there to heat the build plate, then it won't heat up. It should say something like M190 S[bed0_temperature]

Did you ever resolve this issue? I am brand new to Simplify3d and am encountering the same issue.
