Request: Layer info in Process mode

It is not efficient to have to enter the Preview mode and then return to the Process mode in order to make configuration changes.
Please make layer identification available in the Process mode.

Re: Request: Layer info in Process mode

yes i agree. to add to this i think the setting values in a process should be the same. in other words some values want you to enter a layer # and others want a height in mm. we just need to pick one and stick with it. to set a multi process print i can go into the cross section tool and figure out at what height in mm i want a process to start and stop. once that is set we need to slice the model then use the sliders to find the layer that we want to make cooling and temp changes, go back, enter it and reslice. maybe the cross section tool could give measurements in mm and also give the layer. i realize to figure out the layer s3d needs to actually slice the model so im not sure exactly how this would be implemented but thats why the s3d team makes the big bucks i guess  perhaps dont use the layer at all. switch it all to mm then the cross section tool could be used to take all your measurements. the slider on the tool would need a little smoother action though and not jump 2-3-4 mm at a time.

Re: Request: Layer info in Process mode

I forgot about the need to slice to get layers, Jim.
Maybe it should just use whatever the layer thickness is currently set to.
+/- a layer or two.
Still better then going back and forth, messing with the Preview controls, and the Cross Section tool is snappier.
