Hi,
I have a problem with the skirts in the latest version of Simplify3D. If an object doesn't touch the buildplate and is supported by supports, the skirt isn't drawn at all. In fact a skirt is only drawn around the part of the object touching the buildplate. Let me explain this by a few picture:
In this picture, there is an object which doesn't directly touch the buildplate, so the supports are carrying the object. The skirt is turned on but isn't being drawn at all. In an older version, the same object would be drawn as follows:
As you can see, there is a skirt line which takes into consideration the presence of supports and goes around them.
In the new version, to be able to have a skirt, I need the object to touch the buildplate. So, here's what happens when it does:
You can see a very small skirt line in the middle, where the object is touching the buildplate, but there is no skirt around the supports (as if they didn't exist).
My question is: Could that be a bug? Is there an option to force the skirt to take into consideration the presence of supports?
