Build Preview Black After So Many Layers?

I'm trying to prep a model for printing and keep having an issue where the build preview turns black after a certain number of layers. My model is now approx 5" tall and the resolution is 100 0.1mm. What is interesting is if I scale the same model down a bit and make it only 4.5" tall the g-code preview works fine. Is there perhaps some sort of limitation on how many layer steps can be created in S3D? My object has quite a bit of curvature detail so I'm wondering if it is hitting some kind of limit.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
M

I'm still getting this problem on occasion. What happens is once the preview is done it will display an entire black window after a certain layer height until the end. Before the offending layer, the model displays but the nozzle geo has display issues as well (shows as a random subset of its normal polygons). I've tried using the Legacy graphics mode but that simply doesn't display any model in my previews at all. Using the LOW quality preview instead of HIGH seems to work but of course is displays solid color and no shading at all. I wonder if the Vertex Buffer Size setting might be something to adjust to fix this?

Sounds like an issue with your graphics card or driver. I have never seen this even when loading 500MB+ gcode files
