Support structure fat lines

Hiya all,

Recently I've been having major dramas.

One of which is the support extrusion is so wide. Before I was getting nice thin lines but now they are really fat about 3 to 4 time wider than before. I can seem to fathom why this is.

Please help.

My support extrusions are the same width as all my other extrusions (except infill if I use the infill extrusion width option). Not sure why yours would be any different...

Re: Support structure fat lines

I used to have nice wire like structure. But not any more.

In addition it won't print support beyond the first layer unless I raise the bed during print.

What I get after the first layer are dots of extrusion on top of the first layer.

I was thinking it was an extrusion rate issue so changed the multiplier from 0.95 and worked my way up. And even at 1.4 it still does it.

Am at a loss at the moment.

Re: Support structure fat lines

see my post in your other thread. your bed gap is waaaay too tight. your blocking the opening of the nozzle with the bed. its like putting your thumb over the end of a garden hose.
