Guys,

I do allot of re-scaling of parts in simplify3d.
It would be awesome if they were rulers or the ability to set up a grid in x and y planes to measure stuff quickly and easily

You can already set up an XY grid with units of your choosing. For example, you could display an XY grid where each grid line is spaced 10mm apart. They even have options for both major and minor grid lines to make it very quick to visually see how big a part is.
