slicers report no errors in model. netfabb reports no errors in model. the model seems to be clean.
Prusa slicer slices it fine. Simplify 3D adds these "errors" to the model. not sure what to call them I say errors because they don't exist in the model itself. not sure what to call them. glitches? Deviations?
I notice they are ALL in a vertical line all the way up the model but ONLY here. no where else.
they don't exist when slices in prusa slicer. Seems to be a "vase mode" issue as when I regular slice they don't appear. so the slicer itself appears to be "adding" them for some reason. the slice engine itself appears to be introducing these deviations. this can be seen in the factory file.
ROTATE the model. there are 2 coordinate grids in play here. the "model" has a coordinate grid since it has a point you can see and call "0,0,0" the slice going up the model top to bottom. then you have the coordinate grid of the virtual field you slice in.
When I rotate the model the MODEL coordinate grid rotates but the SLICING ENGINE virtual grid does not change.
so the deviations appear to move but in reality they are in the same exact location if you use the virtual machine grid and NOT the "model grid" which means they are not part of the model at all or they would "MOVE" when you moved the model. ie the deviations would stay in the same spot "MODEL" relative but not MACHINE relative. Is that making sense?
imagine looking at a picture of someones face in 3D. if a glitch appears on their nose and you rotate the model and it stays on their nose its probably in the model. but if the spacial location remains unchanged as you move the model around say rotate 180' now the glitch is on the back of the head. this suggests a rendering error (or in this case a slicing error since that is what is rendering the gcode result)
