Testing Parts Of Prints

Is there a way to take an assigned zone eg 350-450mm high seciton of a model and have that section drop to the table so that it can be test printed by itself. I have large models and need to test just particular sections

And are transparent areas ie gaps an issue to be concerned about?

If you double-click on the part, you can decrease the Z-axis offset to drop part of the model below the table. Any geometry below the table is automatically excluded from printing, so it allows you to test print only the upper section of that part.

Thanks
Would be nice to be able to use the cross section tool to truncate the model and isolate problem test areas :-)

You can click the "Custom Zones" button at the bottom of the process settings and enter the min and max Z range that you want to print. That's another easy way to isolate a specific zone of your model, but the instructions I posted above for dropping it below the table help make sure the print actually starts at Z=0 instead of up in the air.

I actually meant truncating quarter/half view in the x or y...the Z control is fairly self explanatory; cheers
