S3D V5.1.1 Loading model causes screen to go dark

When I load any model, the build platform screen goes from "normal" to dark as shown. Any idea as to what's happening?

If you double click on your processes, go to the Custom Zones button at the bottom, and disable all of the min/max Z heights, does the issue go away?
Can you please also confirm the details of your graphics card (the exact make and model) as well as your current driver version number? Might also help to know what OS version you are using.

Yes, disabling the Z's makes the problem go away, but I need to be able to use that feature.
I'm using a Dell Precision 7740 laptop with built-in graphics, and it's running W10.
Just updated the graphics drivers, also.

Can you post the exact graphics card make and model? For example, "Intel HD Graphics 3000". The computer isn't enough since many have multiple graphics card options from purchase.
We also need to know the exact driver version number that you have installed. It typically a long string of numbers like "9.17.10.4229".
