How to modify models in S3D ?

Hi, who can teach me how to use this logic in S3D

1) import 2-3 stl models for different color printing - all must be in one coordinates (now it move all models any time and i dont understand how to disable this logic)
2) after import rotate all models in one coordinate system (now i have different rotations and can't sync models with custom angle, for example 30gr.)

in MakerWare it very simple operations - just add all models and select nozzle for each
when i need rotate - just select allneeded models and modify scale/rotate and no problem...

please help...

Sorry I'm not quite sure I understand your questions but I will answer what I think you are asking. Sorry if this is not what you meant.

You can assign a different process to each individual model on the table as long as they are imported in separate stl files. The process controls all aspects of the print for each solid. You can have a different process for each solid. Or even a different process for different layers of the same solid.

If you import a single solid part, each in it's own individual stl file, they will be moved and treated separately. If you import several parts included in one stl file, then any action you take will alter all of them.

You mean i can use in one stl file 2 or more different models?

You should probably read this: https://www.simplify3d.com/support/tuto ... extruders/

If you hold shift while moving, scaling or rotating, it will automatically move/rotate/scale ALL models on the build platform. For example, Shift+Alt+Left click would rotate ALL model on the build platform. Then to assign different extruders to different objects, you just create different processes and then use the "Select Models" button to choose which models will be printed with each process (i.e. color)

If you have more than one model in the the one STL file, I don't thing S3D can split them and you'll only be able to apply the processes to the stl file and not the induvidual models within.

I would suggest splitting them up.

If you are using inventor I can tell you how.

Splitting them up would definitely be the way to go. The benefits of multiple process printing greatly outweigh the convenience of having all of your models in a single STL. You can use a factory file to keep them all laid out properly to your specifications.

Shift is work for me, thanks..

But i dont understand how to disable this logic: "without shift"
I want use "shift pressed" all time without any other model movements...

If the models all share the same relative origin, then you can just move and rotate one, then copy and paste the values to the other models... or am I also misunderstanding this?

That would definitely work.
