Snapmaker J1 – Build plate Offset corrupts the workspace graphics.

Can anyone recognize this?

I have not yet received my printer, so just preparing some slicing for the Snapmaker J1. The misaligned graphics might have no impact on slicing behavior.

You typically would never need to change the origin offset unless you are setting up a completely new machine.

Try going back to Help > Configuration Assistant and download the stock profile that we already provide for the Snapmaker J1. That should resolve the issue.

Thanks a lot for your reply :-)

Yes, I find the S3D buildplate aligned with the Snapmaker J1 graphics, when I reload the profile in the Configuration Assistant. Offset default values are then applied.

But, as you see in the attached video, the misaligment occurs with the changes of the Origin offset values.

If this is intended and slicing are not impacted, I can live with that.

Yes, if you change the origin offset it will shift the 3D view like you described. However, you should never need to adjust that value since it typically never changes for a specific machine. It should already be configured properly in the profile that we provide for that printer.
