Perimeters combine internal layers?

I am looking for a slicer that supports different layer height on the outer most perimeter. So I can print the outside with very fine detail and the interior faster.the surface is very detailed and I have many perimeters for added strength so I would like to print the inner at 0.2 and the outer at 0.05. I can do something similar with combine infill in prusa but not on perimeters.

Re: Perimeters combine internal layers?

Hello,
This is possible due to Simplify3D's flexible processes method of slicing.

Here are the steps:
1. Make a process with 0.05 mm as the layer height, the set the top layers, bottom layers, infill percentage to 0.
2. Make a second process with 0.2 mm as the layer height, with the normal layers and infill settings, then add a -0.40 mm (same as your extrusion width) for the Horizontal Outer Size Compensation.
3. Slice the file with both processes selected, use Continuous printing.
4. There will be a warning that says you might be printing the same region twice, but you can click to continue.
5. Check in the print preview by lines if the print processes collide, if not, then that should be it!

I've attached a factory file as an example.
