"Show in Preview" Settings not Saved

In Simplify3D's build summary view, under "Show in Preview", I specify "Movement Speed" via the Coloring dropdown (so coloring in Preview Mode is based on movement speed). I also select the checkbox to show the toolhead in Preview Mode. The problem is, these settings are lost as soon as I close Simplify3D. I want these settings saved so I don't have to change them every time I use the program. How can I fix this? I'm running version 5.1.2.

Re: "Show in Preview" Settings not Saved

The settings should stay the same if you slice your model multiple times or slice other files. Once you close the software it will revert to the normal defaults though like you described. I don't think there's a way to change that.

Re: "Show in Preview" Settings not Saved

I guess the developers decided to discard the user’s preview settings every time the program is closed (apparently to solve the problem of some users getting confused when they changed preview settings, like showing retraction, then not understanding why the preview showed blobs at the retraction spots). From a user experience point of view, I think this is an example of a solution that is a lot worse than the problem.
