Any reason why I keep getting these gaps with S3D ? Never had them with makerbot. I've tried a few infill rates. This one is 100%. right down to 20% I get the same.
you are pointing to a few different problems there. the bottom most right arrow is due to not enough extrusion. your multiplier would need to be bumped up a little to extrude more plastic. however, i dont see that going on anywhere else in your print so that one is probably due to your build platform not being completely flat. if thats so it will correct itself after a few more layers. the rest are gaps because your printer cant print a little sliver that narrow to put in those little gaps. what you need to do is run a single perimeter then bump up your infill. this will open up those spaces so your printer can physically print in those areas.
just looking at the picture i dont think that would be bed level. i would say the bed is not quite flat. there could be a slight low spot in that area. your printing on tape as well so even that could be effecting that. i would say you dont have to worry about that one so much. i bet if you looked at it on layer 15 those gaps would not be there and it would correct itself. as for the other just keep in mind that if there is a gap that is .4mm wide and your extrusion width is set to .45 then s3d cant put an extrusion in there. there is a bit of a fudge factor. in the advanced tab there is a thin wall behavior tab which allows overlap. this can help to a point but those gaps you have are hairline so prob wont do much for you. with prints like this i like to run a single perimeter and lust bump up the infill so its more solid. it will free up a little more room for you printer to do its thing.
