PETG Stringing After Switching to Simplify3D 5.1 on Ender 3 V2

Hi everyone, Mark here. I recently updated to Simplify3D 5.1 and started noticing something odd with my PETG prints on my Ender 3 V2. Before the update, my profiles produced really clean results, but now I’m getting noticeable stringing between small features even though my retraction settings (5mm at 45mm/s) haven’t changed. I’ve tried lowering the nozzle temp from 240°C to 230°C and increasing travel speed, but the strings are still there. Has anyone else experienced similar behavior after updating, or found a good setting tweak in Simplify3D that helps reduce PETG stringing?

Your retraction settings are reasonable, so I'd first check whether the Simplify3D 5.1 update changed any profile settings like wipe, coasting, or restart distance. Also, make sure your PETG is dry—moisture is one of the most common causes of stringing. If everything looks the same, try a quick temperature tower around 220–230°C to see if a slightly lower temperature helps.
