I've been experimenting with finding the ideal settings for printing finely detailed objects at 0.1mm layer height on my Dremel/Dreamer and basic assumptions would be that "slower is better". However I'm wondering if there is a point where lower speeds have negative impact on the operation of the stepper motors, etc. Is it possible that less accuracy and more problems might occur if you go under a recommenced minimum speed?

Since stepper motors have discrete steps, when you move them too slowly, those steps before more visible and can end up causing a lot of bad vibrations. And of course, it can also hurt print quality since you end up puttering along with these sudden spurts of movement.

The min speeds are usually pretty low though. I imagine at the point where this would be an issue, the build time would be enormous!
