Im printing this working engine model:\

The Author uses Cura, which apparently have the option to build support only for exteriors and areas directly touching the build plate. Simplyfy3D doesnt seem to support this, meaning many hours (and sometimes impossible) to remove interior support material that clogs up tubing, pipes, small enclosures etc. Areas that absolutely do not need support but get filled with it anyhow!

in the meantime, you can use the cross section tool to see where the interior suppor will be and manually remove it before you prepare to print. It's actually quite easy to do.

This feature was added in version 3.0. Just change the "Support Type" to "From build plate only". This can help keep support structures from being created inside internal cavities where they may be difficult or impossible to remove.
