hiya all.

I was wondering if an one has tried this.

I have it working of sorts but could do with some more tweaking.

I have fited a 0.2mm nozzle to my D4S I have been playing with my settings and get a really nice print. but my problem lies with support structure. the first layer is fine but the next layer is just daps on the fist layer with out bridging it. I have adjusted the height but continiues to fail.

I have my temperature up to 250 deg with ABS. if I lower the temp it fails to extrude and chews up my filament.

if any one has any advice on overal settings for the extruder and speed ( i try very slow) I'd be interested to compare

nozzle: 0.2
multiplier: 0.90
width: 0.2

Think you need to attach the fff-file if anyone should be able to help.
But the startup settings should be.
Multiplier: 1.0 and width: 0.24
PLA fan off.
250 degrees seems a little to hot, should be around 230 for ABS.
But I guess you already know that, and I don´t think it solves your problem.

Printing with a smaller nozzle will require a slower print speed. You'll find that decreasing the temperature and printing slower will be beneficial.

I think higher temperature might actually help. You're gonna have a ton of physical resistance trying to push filament through the .2 mm nozzle diameter hole, it would be better if the filament was hotter (as long as there's no jamming or heat running up the filament causing jamming).

IMO .2 mm nozzles are speciality items only, I personally wouldn't advise anything smaller than .35 mm nozzles for standard everyday prints.

Right, I just was scared it might burn. Don't go TOO high.
