Slanted prints

I have just started using Creator and although I can use the machine control quite easily it seems that every time I slice something in Creator and then print it it becomes slanted. When I preview the gcode everything seems fine but when I print the model turns out to be slanted in the +X direction.

I think the gcode is getting some type of cumulative error between each layer and adding on the layer height to the subsequent x layer position. I tried to slice with slic3r and print with Pronterface and it went off without a hitch so I am positive this is a creator problem.

I am using a Gen6 board with Marlin software and the latest creator release.

Did you preview the gcode to make sure it looks correct? That preview is rendered almost identically to how your printer will interpret the commands, so if it looks correct in the preview, the gcode is most likely correct.

Being that it is not a consistent shift and appears to be slightly erratic, my guess would be that your machine is skipping steps and causing the misalignment. This can easily be caused if you try to run at too high of a speed or accelerations. What printing speed are you using in Creator? You can find this by looking on the Other tab of your FFF settings window.

I previewed it and it looks correct. I was printing at 5400mm/min or 90mm/s. Which is not that fast considering I usually print at 80mm/s or 100mm/s. I printed the same box at 100mm/s using slic3r and the box printed fine.

Please send the factory file for this build to [email protected] and we'll be happy to investigate further. You can do this by going to File > Save Factory File As.
