Simplify doubles over itself on thin walls

I find myself wanting to print a thin cylinder with a thickness designed to be the same as the extrusion thickness so it can be printed with one pass. However, simplify seems to insist on doubling over itself on this wall as if it thinks there has to be an inner and outer perimeter.

I understand there is a spiral mode for things like this but there are other features in this part that it is not suited for.

You can set perimeters to a number of 1 without turning on spiral printing mode. Have you tried doing this?

Thin walls can be pretty tricky. If you post a factory file, you'll likely get much better assistance from this community. Factory Files save almost everything. You can save one from the top menu bar.

I'd be interested to see whats going on behind the scenes here.

the wall width really needs to be 2x the extrusion width. remember if you have a wall there is an inner and outer surface so there will be an extrusion on both of these. despite many requests s3d will not do a single perimeter. you can fudge it a little by allowing an overlap. this is your thin wall behavior in the advanced tab. in any case though always model things with 2x your extrusion width.
